History: In 1990, my search began for a chinese shar-pei. Sushi arrived in 1991, and life would never e the same. Her stubborn personality led me into the world of training, which in turn opened up the world of competetive obedience.From there we went on to confirmation showing, agility, tracking, freestyle, herding, therapy work, modeling, and I found the talents in this breed to be limiltess.It is not a breed recognized for ease in training, but with hard work and patience, they can go far in many directions. This breed has an endearing spirit, and some say they are "old souls" in dog bodies. There is something rather human about them, and they actually prefer to be with humans. Every one of my dogs have had some special talent and it was up to me, to bring out in them what they do best. They have taught me so much about the human/animal bond.
